Melomakarona
Greek cookie traditionally served around Christmastime. Think semolina, olive oil and honey.
Hand mix the dough, but be careful not to overmix.
Cooking or baking Greek stuff always warms my heart because the techniques and flavors are just so different, and I love learning more about them.
Form the egg shapes. I also made some hearts for fun. Poke holes with a fork.
Finish them by dropping in a honey syrup and draining on a rack. Top with honey and walnuts.
