Glazed Donuts
No comment needed.
First throw yeast, warm milk and a tablespoon of your sugar in a bowl and cover for ten minutes. It will be foamy and ready to roll if your yeast is active after 10 Ish minutes.
Then add the rest of your ingredients and half your flour & mix with a dough hook or wooden spoon. When it comes together, amp the speed up.
Start forming your dough either in a bowl with a dough hook, or a bowl with a wooden spoon/ your hands. It should resemble this.
Cover and let rest.
Once risen (2 ish hours) give him a good punch and then roll out your dough on a lightly floured surface.
Cut the donuts! (My fav part)
Fry them for a little over a minute on each side, and then when they are slightly cooled but still warm, dunk them in your vanilla glaze (or any other glaze) you want.
Viola! Now you have perfectly chewy beautiful, delicious donuts. They taste the best the same day, the fresher the better! keep them covered if you plan to wait. (2 days tops) Or freeze them (before or after frying) for longer storage!
I used Sally’s baking recipe for this: https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/how-to-make-homemade-glazed-doughnuts/ I use a lot of her recipes because I find them easy to follow, helpful and they always turn out great for me.
